5.1 Infrastructure

Regarding infrastructure, the town has four inlet/outlet roads connecting it to different weredas in the zone, surrounding zones, towns in the region and Addis Ababa. The town has a total of 57 km of roads. From these 36km are all weather and 21km are dry weather roads.  The only asphalt road in the town is the Lalibela-Abiy Adi-Mekelle road. The town gets 24 hours electric supply from the national grid, mobile and fixed telephone lines, and has postal service.

5.2 Housing

There are 4299 private and government houses in Sekota town built up of different materials and used for various functions. The housing backlog is estimated to be 774.

5.3 Transport

There is daily inter-urban transport service to and from Addis Ababa and surrounding towns. The town has a bus station.
