1.1 Location

Kemise is located in Amhara National Regional State, Oromia zone at a distance of 325km from Addis Ababa. Its astronomical location is 9°09´N to 9°32´ North latitude and 41°50´E to 42°05´East longitude.

Kemise is one of the reform towns in the region and has town administration municipality and kebelles level. The town has a development plan.
